Description
The AJ Eklipta wall lamp was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1956 for the Rødovre Town Hall in Denmark and remains one of the most enduring expressions of Scandinavian functionalism. Originally developed in two sizes, Ø350 and Ø450, the lamp was used both indoors and outdoors, primarily in stairwells and circulation areas. A smaller Ø220 version was later created for St. Catherine’s College in Oxford, England.
Characterised by its pure circular geometry and understated elegance, AJ Eklipta provides a soft, uniform, glare-free light that enhances architectural spaces without overpowering them. The blown white opal glass diffuser ensures an even distribution of light, making the lamp ideal for both residential and public environments.
The fixture is constructed with a ceiling/wall box in die-cast or spun aluminium and finished in white powder coating, paired with an opal white glass diffuser.
