Description
The Yuh wall lamp was designed in 2017 by the Italian-Danish design duo GamFratesi for Louis Poulsen. Originally launched in black and white, the collection has since expanded to include elegant brass variations, reinforcing its refined and contemporary character.
Yuh is conceived as an essentially personal lamp. Compact in size and highly flexible, it can be rotated, raised and lowered to deliver light exactly where it is needed, making it ideal for workspaces, living areas and bedside applications. The geometrically defined shade follows the movement along the stem, transitioning from a circular base to a linear opening at the top, creating a minimalist yet expressive silhouette.
The lamp emits primarily downward-directed, glare-free light. The adjustable shade angle allows precise control of light distribution, while the narrow opening at the top of the shade provides a soft upward glow, enhancing the surrounding atmosphere. A refined mechanical system ensures maximum freedom of movement and optimal positioning.
Integrated LED technology delivers high-quality illumination with continuous dimming from 15% to 100%. Additional features include a programmable timer for automatic switch-off between 4 and 8 hours, as well as a memory function that restores the preferred light level when the lamp is reconnected to the mains. The on/off switch and dimmer are discreetly positioned on the wall box.
